This cosmetic facial surgery procedure, which is less invasive than the traditional facelift, will help rejuvenate the cheek, jowls and nasolabial folds, and to a lesser extent, the neck. The main advantage to this procedure over a regular face lift is a shorter recovery time. Currently there are two facial cosmetic techniques used for brow lifts. The endoscopic brow lift is more frequently performed and has the advantage of less recovery and minimal scars. Cosmetic facial surgery of the ears, referred to as an otoplasty, corrects protruding and abnormally positioned ears by moving them closer to the head and by improving their contour. Otoplasty can be performed anytime after the age of four years old. The facial plastic surgeon makes incisions along the back of the ear. A strip of skin is removed from behind the ears.
