Lawrence Tong, MD, FRCSC, FACS, is board certified by the
American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and the Royal College of
Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. He is a member or the American
Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and a Fellow of the American
College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Tong attended medical school at the
University of Toronto and graduated with honors. He subsequently
underwent specialty training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at
the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Tong has been active in
medical research with over twenty scientific publications and
presentations. He has received the George Brown Memorial Award and
the Stuart Douglas Gordon Memorial Award for his research in plastic
surgery and a University of Michigan Medical School award for
excellence in medical student teaching. Dr. Tong has numerous
publications in medical journals and has presented his research at
numerous national meetings. Dr. Tong is on staff at Straith Hospital
for Special Surgery in Southfield and Providence Hospital in
Southfield.
