PLASTIC SURGERY CONSULTATION HOURS
Your first step prior to scheduling any cosmetic procedure is to schedule a plastic surgery consultation with one of our surgeons. You can schedule your free consultation with one of our board certified plastic surgeons on Monday, Tuesday,

Wednesday, or Friday afternoon. Saturday morning appointments are also available. The office is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm every weekday, except Thursdays. We're located in Metro Detroit (Bingham Farms, MI.) All plastic surgery consultations are conducted with the plastic surgeon that will be performing your surgery. Our surgeon will provide an ethical and expert opinion in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery to address your particular concerns. Further, the plastic surgeon will explain the effects and limitations of plastic surgery, the type of anesthesia used, which is dependent on the patient and the extent of the surgical procedure being performed, what to expect after surgery, financing options, and plastic surgery costs.

COSMETIC SURGERY EXPECTATIONS
During your plastic surgery consultation, the surgeon will give you his recommendations as to which procedure(s) will give you the best result, according to your particular concerns. Although cosmetic surgery can frequently achieve remarkable improvements to a person’s appearance,there is a limit as to how much improvement can be obtained. During your consultation, your surgeon will discuss the limitations of the recommended procedure in order that you have a realistic expectation as to what can and what cannot be accomplished through surgery.

SCHEDULING YOUR PLASTIC SURGERY
Our plastic surgeons perform surgery every day except weekends and holidays. You may schedule your surgery in person on the day of your consultation or over the phone at a later date. You will have the opportunity to consult with your surgeon again, prior to your actual surgery. The purpose of the second plastic surgery consultation is to review the details of the surgery with your surgeon, as well as to ask any questions that you did not ask at the first consultation or thought of in the meantime. In addition, you will have a “pre-surgical” teaching session with our office nurse/medical assistant that will outline what to prepare for during your recovery after cosmetic surgery.

YOUR COMFORT - ANESTHESIA AND COSMETIC SURGERY RECOVERY PAIN MANAGEMENT
The goal of our surgeons is for you to have a relaxed experience, including a comfortable recovery from cosmetic surgery. We require a history and physical and laboratory tests before your surgery for your safety. During surgery, intra-venous sedation (IV sedation) is administered by a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). This will allow you to sleep through the entire procedure. General anesthesia may be used for certain procedures, in which case the surgery is performed in a hospital setting. Despite the type of anesthesia selected, there will be no pain during the operation. Post-operative pain during recovery is minimal for most procedures and varies with each individual. Pain medication is prescribed as appropriate.

OVERNIGHT STAY AT HOSPITAL FOR COSMETIC SURGERY RECOVERY
Most cosmetic procedures can be performed safely on an out-patient basis in our accredited office operating room suite. For your safety and comfort, a hospital overnight stay is included for certain procedures to aid in the plastic surgery recovery process.

BEORE AND AFTER PHOTOGRAPHS
Photographs are taken of patients before and after plastic surgery. These photographs become part of the patient's record and are kept confidential. They are published only with written permission from the patient.

COSMETIC GIFT CERTIFICATES
Gift certificates for skin rejuvenation procedures, skin care products, and therapeutic massages are available. Please call for information.

COST OF PLASTIC SURGERY
Following your plastic surgery consultation, you will speak to one our Patient Coordinators to discuss the costs for the recommended procedures. Since most cosmetic surgery procedures are elective, the costs usually are not covered by health insurance. The costs and fees depend on factors that are unique to your situation and can only be determined after our free consultation with a plastic surgeon. This is the reason that makes discussing cosmetic surgery costs over the phone, prior to a consultation, difficult. Some practices may advertise prices only referring to a portion of the total plastic surgery cost. Because of the unique nature of cosmetic surgery, it is not recommended to compare costs between different surgeon's offices utilizing advertising claims or by word of mouth.

PLASTIC SURGERY FINANCING
For those patients who want to finance the cost of their plastic surgery, we offer companies that specialize in medical financing. The application process is by phone or internet and you may have your answer in as little as two hours. Patients may also utilize their own credit unions, home equity accounts, and charge cards for further financing options.
