What is an Eyelash Lift?

A lash lift is a treatment performed to curl your eyelashes from the base to the tip to achieve longer looking and lifted lashes. During treatment, special silicone pads will be placed on the closed eyelids. The lashes are then lifted, and a serum is applied to break down the protein in the lashes. The lashes will next be molded onto a shield to help them take the desired shape. Next, another serum is applied to restore the lashes and condition them. Lastly, a coating of keratin is added for extra conditioning and strengthening. Results from a lash lift can last 6-8 weeks.

Directly following your lash lift, it is important that you avoid getting your lashes wet and avoid applying mascara for 48 hours.

What is an Eyelash Tint?

Lash tinting is done to darken the color of your lashes so that they are more noticeable. During a lash tint, a special semi-permanent dye that is safe for use near the eyes is applied to your natural lashes. Individuals with naturally light eyelashes will be able to see the most dramatic effect from a lash tint. The process is quick, taking 10-15 minutes to complete. Results can last from 3-5 weeks before another tint is needed.

After a lash tint, avoid getting your lashes wet and applying oil-based makeup products to your eyes for 24 hours.

Eyelash Lift & Tint Candidates

Are you unhappy with the color or length of your eyelashes? Perhaps you would like them to be more noticeable or more dramatic, without the use of makeup. If this sounds like you, you may be a good candidate for an eyelash lift and/or tint. While anyone can benefit from a lash tint, those with lighter lashes will notice a more dramatic result. Eyelash lifts work best on individuals with long, straight eyelashes, as those with very short lashes won’t see as much of an improvement.
